I'm Emil Östlin. I lead engineering at Aleph Alpha in Berlin, where I work on agentic AI systems and the teams that build them.

Before that I spent most of my 20s starting companies — they kinda worked, but some didn't, all of them taught me something. I moved into engineering leadership because I got more interested in building people up over companies.

I plan to write here occasionally about leadership, AI, and other ramblings. I also publish side projects when they're interesting enough to share.
